What does Angela's Ashes say about our Culture?

Angela's Ashes shows that people are discriminated against and are judged based on their race and religion, because of the families race and beliefs they are not allowed oppurtunities that regular people had. In the 1930's Irish Catholics and dissenters were increasingly deprived of thier civil rights and basic entitlements such as proper education.
